The Old Bailey jury heard a tape recording of a telephone call from Carr to Ian Huntley’s mother Lynda Nixon made from Holloway Jail on October 18 last year
Carr, 26, wailed madly as she told her: “I don’t understand, I don’t get it why ”
Parts of the tape were essentially imperceptible as Carr sobbed: “I need to talk to him so much, I don’t know what I’m going to do ”
The jury was told the telephone calls were the as it were remaining piece of confirm in the arraignment

Richard Latham QC, prosecuting, said the discussion was taped covertly, adding: “Those taking part were not particularly told they were being taped ”
